Someone from Kela phoned me early this morning, woke me up actually. I was still partially asleep, and all I understood was that there had been some humane mistake in granting me too little student allowance, and they would fix that. Problem solved, and back to sleep.
I took a little drive today with my motorbike - Suzuki Freewind XF650. Quite slippery I would say. I'd propably need a studded tire, but the point was only to heat the motor. I took the battery off right away, and I'll have to wait until June for the next ride. I had some difficulties to start the bike, because the ignition lock had frozen. Well, that's what the hair dryers are for.
Flights to Korea and back have now been booked. I bought the tickets from Ebookers. At the end of this month I will go to Helsinki by train, and fly to Busan via Münich and Seoul using Lufthansa. Thankfully the prices of flight tickets hadn't got more expensive during last weeks, and it seems the scolarship money is enough for all the expenses of this exchange.
Train from Oulu to Helsinki is going to take about 7 hours, and flights from Helsinki to Busan (Korea) about 14 hours. In addition, I have to wait at airports about 11 hours total, so one way trip will take about 32 hours. Time zone of Korea is UTC+09, which means their clock is 7 hours ahead of ours. I will arrive to Busan at 8.20am local time, so I'll just have to try to stay awake...
